Denver, Colo., April 27, 2017—Attorney Aimee H. Wagstaff was awarded the “2017 Young Innovator Award” from Mass Torts Made Perfect at their conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, for her exceptional contributions to the field of law and legal community.
The Young Innovator Award is given to an attorney who is deemed to be a rising star and pioneer in their approach to the practice of law. Recipients have shown the ability to think in a new manner and demonstrate an inventive approach to their practice. The award is given to one recipient each year who is forging their own path and changing the paradigm along the way.
In 2016, the Honorable Vince Chhabria appointed Aimee to serve as national Co-Lead counsel of multidistrict litigation (MDL) 2741– In Re: Roundup Products Liability Litigation, situated in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Aimee made MDL history in 2015 when the Honorable Judge Kathryn H. Vratil appointed her to serve as Co-Lead counsel of the first ever majority women MDL plaintiff’s steering committee (PSC) – MDL 2652: In Re: Ethicon, Inc., Power Morcellator Products Liability Litigation, situated in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.
Aimee founded Women En Mass (WEM) to bring together female mass tort attorneys to discuss issues that affect women from the boardroom to the courtroom. WEM holds an annual conference for members and provides a network of female attorneys year-round.
Mass Torts Made Perfect is a major bi-annual conference for those working in the practice area of plaintiff mass torts, personal injury litigation, and securities and toxic tort matters.
